Stroom Digital builds websites and growth systems for installers in the Netherlands. We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy.

02What this policy covers
This policy covers visitors to stroomdigital.nl, people who contact us, prospective clients and business contacts we reach out to.
When we run the Growth System for a client, we process that client’s leads on the client’s behalf, under a separate data processing agreement. For those leads, the installer is the controller and their own privacy policy applies.
03What we collect and why
We only collect what we need. For each purpose, this is what we process and the legal basis under the GDPR:
- Contact form. Name, company, email address, phone number (optional), region and your message. We store it in our inbox, use it to reply and, if you ask, to prepare a proposal. Legal basis: your consent, given with the checkbox, and steps you ask us to take before a possible agreement (Article 6(1)(a) and (b)).
- Email and WhatsApp. Your name, contact details and the content of your messages. We use this to answer you and keep track of our conversation. Legal basis: steps before an agreement and our legitimate interest in handling business enquiries (Article 6(1)(b) and (f)).
- Booking a call. The details you enter when you plan a call through our scheduling tool. We use this to hold the appointment. Legal basis: steps before an agreement (Article 6(1)(b)).
- Clients. Contact and billing details of the company and the people we work with. We use this to deliver our services and invoice them. Legal basis: performance of the agreement and our legal obligations for tax and accounting (Article 6(1)(b) and (c)).
- Website visits. Technical data such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, processed by our hosting provider to deliver the website and keep it secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a working, secure website (Article 6(1)(f)).
04Business contacts we reach out to
We contact installation companies about our services. For this we use business contact details that are publicly available, for example on a company’s own website or in business directories: name, company name, business email address and phone number, and the region the company works in.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in offering our services to businesses (Article 6(1)(f)). Every message tells you how to stop further contact. If you object, we stop and keep only what we need to respect that choice.
05Analytics
We do not use analytics or tracking tools on this website.
07Transfers outside the EU
Some providers are based in the United States. Where personal data leaves the European Economic Area, we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or on the provider’s certification under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
08How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to an agreement: up to 12 months after our last contact.
- Business contacts we reached out to: up to 12 months after our last contact, or less if you ask us to stop.
- Client records: for the duration of the agreement, and afterwards as long as tax and accounting law requires. In Italy, where we are based, that is generally ten years.
- Technical data from website visits: for a short period, as set by our hosting provider for security purposes.
09Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have incorrect data corrected;
- have your data deleted;
- restrict how we use it;
- object to our use based on legitimate interest, including outreach;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what we did before.
Email info@stroomdigital.nl. We reply within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.
You can also file a complaint with a data protection authority, in particular in the EU country where you live or work. In the Netherlands that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens. In Italy, where we are based, it is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
10Security
This website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to personal data is limited to the people who need it for their work. We choose our providers for their security standards, and they are bound by data processing agreements.
11Automated decisions
We do not use personal data of website visitors for automated decision-making or profiling.
12Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our services or the law change. The date at the top shows the current version.
